Viola x wittrockiana Frizzle Sizzle Raspberry

Viola x wittrockiana Frizzle Sizzle Lemonberry has masses of beautiful ruffled, raspberry-pink flowers at the ends of the stems from early spring to late fall, which are most effective when planted in groupings. Its serrated round leaves remain dark green in colour throughout the season. The plants are uniform and mildly fragrant, thriving well even in an unheated tunnel during winter (Zone 5). Generally compact, they produce 12–14" stems, ideal for pairing with tulips and daffodils in early spring arrangements.

Frizzle Sizzle Lemonberry Pansy is a fine choice for the garden, but it is also a good selection for planting in outdoor containers and hanging baskets. It is often used as a 'filler' in the 'spiller-thriller-filler' container combination, providing a mass of flowers against which the thriller plants stand out. Note that when growing plants in outdoor containers and baskets, they may require more frequent waterings than they would in the yard or garden.

Tips: Plant in sun or partial sun for best flowering. Plant in early Spring or Fall for best performance. In some climates, pansies planted in the Fall will overwinter and rebloom the next Spring.
