Agastache hybrida Arcado Pink

Agastache hybrida ‘Arcado Pink’ is a compact, free-flowering perennial often grown as an annual. It produces charming spikes of pinkish-purple, nectar-rich flowers above fragrant foliage. Perfect for planting in large groups, this agastache adds vibrant color to garden beds, borders, and wild areas. It also makes an excellent addition to a culinary herb garden.

Sowing Instructions:

  • Sow Indoors: Start seeds indoors onto moist, well-drained seed compost.
  • Light Requirement: Seeds need light for germination—press lightly into the soil but do not cover.
  • Temperature: Keep at 18–20°C.
  • Germination Time: Typically 14–28 days, but germination can be irregular and take up to 90 days.
  • Watering: Water only from the base to prevent seed disturbance.
  • Transplanting: Once seedlings are large enough, transplant to 8cm pots.
  • Planting Out: After the danger of frost has passed, acclimatise seedlings and plant out with 50cm spacing.

Growing Instructions:

  • Sunlight: Prefers full sun.
  • Soil: Any free-draining soil will work.
  • Watering: Requires little maintenance; water every week or two.
  • Support: In exposed conditions, staking may be necessary.

Cultivation Instructions:

  • Deadheading: Remove spent flowers to prolong blooming.
  • Self-Seeding: While it self-seeds, collecting seeds for future sowing is recommended.
  • Winter Care: Provide winter protection, such as a mulch, in colder climates.
